FINANCE INTERNSHIP PROGRAME FOR A PERIOD OF 3YEARS.
(Preference will be given to applicants permanently residing within Kouga Local Municipality jurisdiction)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant NQF Level 6 or 7 qualification in finance related field with majors in Accounting, Financial Management, Public Finance, Economics, Risk Management and/or Auditing;
- Must be between the age of 18-35 years;
- Ability to function independently, as well as within a team;
- Ability to function effectively under pressure and to apply time management principles;
- Attention to detail;
- Good communication skills;
- Computer skills (excel and other programs);
- Must be assertive and have attention to detail;
- Must be able to speak, read and write in at least two of the official languages in Kouga Municipality (Afrikaans, English, and Xhosa).
THE INTERNS WILL BE TRAINED AND BE EXPOSED ON THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
- Knowledge of public sector procurement, MFMA 56 of 2003 and relevant legislation;
- Best Practice and Treasury Regulations;
- On negotiation, planning and organizing skills;
- Performance monitoring;
- Advanced report writing and analytical skills;
- Municipal Finance Management Program (MFMP);
