Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this automation and instrumentation apprenticeship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Matric with Mathematics and Science
- Completed Diploma or N6 in Electrical (Light Current), Instrumentation, or Automation
- 12-month internship experience
- Must submit a CV with academic transcript and qualification certificates
- Include a copy of your ID
Key Responsibilities
As an apprentice, you will be exposed to a wide range of technical and operational tasks, including:
- Basic use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Assisting in the development of reports, maintenance documentation, and project support
- Reviewing and updating electrical and network drawings
- Supporting breakdown repairs and restoration activities during the week and on weekends
- Assisting technicians and artisans with day-to-day operations
- Participating in R2S (Right to Start) Projects
- Performing calibration tasks as per Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Developing and documenting SOPs, SMPs, and One Point Lessons (OPLs)
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives such as internal and mock audits, WCM (World Class Manufacturing), and SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) programmes
