The Disaster Management and Fire Services Department in Polokwane has opened applications for 19 EPWP Skilled Fire Fighter positions on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Successful candidates will be required to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as part of emergency response operations.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Fire Fighter I qualification
- Fire Fighter II with Hazmat Operations or equivalent qualification
- SAQA-accredited qualification from SAESI or IFE
- Code C1 driver’s licence
- 0 to 1 year of relevant experience
- No criminal record
Candidates must also successfully complete:
- Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT)
- Medical Test NFPA 1582
