Bidvest International Logistics is inviting young South Africans to apply for its YES (Youth Employment Service) Programme for 2025/2026
This opportunity is aimed at unemployed youth who want to gain valuable work experience and develop new skills in the logistics sector. The programme forms part of a national initiative, supported by both government and industry, to help reduce youth unemployment while preparing participants for future career pathways.
As one of South Africa’s leading global transport and logistics companies, Bidvest International Logistics offers a strong foundation for practical learning. Established in 1910, the company has more than a century of experience in optimising supply chains and connecting clients to international markets. Through its partnership with EMO Trans, it has access to a global network spanning more than 250 offices in over 120 countries. With a presence at all major ports and airports across the country, the company provides services in air, sea and road freight, warehousing and customs brokerage across a wide range of industries.
Successful applicants will join the organisation’s Port Elizabeth facility and participate in a 12-month fixed-term programme that combines theoretical modules with hands-on work experience. The YES curriculum includes 25 structured modules delivered through the YES online platform, where participants will also compile and submit a portfolio of evidence to complete the programme.
To qualify for the Bidvest International Logistics YES Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Applicants must have completed Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification, be South African citizens and fall within the age group of 18 to 34. They must meet the employment equity requirements of the programme and be available to work full-time for 12 months. Candidates should have a genuine interest in the transport and logistics industry, be unemployed and not enrolled for any studies in 2026. Individuals who have previously taken part in a YES Programme with any company are not eligible to apply.
Participants should demonstrate key skills and attributes, including:
Self-reliance, determination, commitment, accountability, punctuality, basic computer literacy and proficiency in English.
