Applications are invited from suitably qualified and interested candidates for this position at the Commercial Division. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining a seamless flow of information and documents between the company and its primary logistics suppliers and to administer transport and related costs. A Matric Certificate with Mathematics and computer literacy to an intermediate level, particularly on MS Excel, is essential. Prior experience working in a logistics environment is required. Experience in the CHEP online Portfolio Plus system would be advantageous.
RESULTS REQUIRED:
· Collate documentation
· Liaise with Transport Provider and other stakeholders
· Review accuracy and validity of changes in transport rates
· Collate information, maintain and distribute reports
· Investigate and resolve queries
· Minimize the company’s exposure to excessive pallet and crate stock holding
· Administer documentation
· Create and distribute transport and other purchase requisitions.
· Prepare and submit payment-related documentation
