The South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) is inviting applications for the following 12-month internship opportunities.The Council encourages applications from candidates within designated groups and individuals with disabilities, as part of its commitment to workforce diversity.

1. Revenue Accounts Intern

Division: Revenue Accounts

Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance

Competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to work under pressure, good communication skills (verbal and written), analytical thinking, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities: Support client invoicing, debtor reconciliation and reporting, collection of outstanding accounts, and cash book capturing. Respond to enquiries in a manner that promotes the Council’s image, and report to the Debtors Controller on matters related to key performance areas (KPAs).

2. Financial Accounting Intern

Division: Financial Accounting

Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Accounting

Competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to work under pressure, strong communication skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities: Process supplier invoices and claims, capture corporate credit card expenditure, send payment notifications, reconcile creditors against supplier statements, assist with electronic filing, and respond to relevant queries. Reports to the Financial Controller on all KPAs.

3. Supply Chain Management Intern

Division: Supply Chain Management

Requirements: Advanced Programme in Supply Chain Management or a National Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics

Competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to manage pressure, effective communication, analytical thinking, and detail orientation.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in sourcing quotations, preparing purchase orders, receiving deliveries, issuing and monitoring stock, capturing supplier invoices, conducting stock audits and asset verification, tagging assets, and maintaining electronic filing. Reports to the Supply Chain Management Controller on all KPAs.

4. Information Technology Intern

Division: Information Technology

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Competencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to work under pressure, strong communication, analytical skills, and a high level of attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities: Assist with hardware and software setup and maintenance, provide technical support, maintain network infrastructure, support Microsoft 365 administration, contribute to internal tool development, help enforce IT policies, and support IP telephony systems. Reports to the Manager of Information Technology on all KPAs.
