Tiger Brands has opened applications for their TOPP Programme 2026 which is designed for aspiring Chartered Accountants.

Tiger Brands is inviting applications for its Tiger Brands TOPP (Training Outside Public Practice) Programme, a 36-month training programme designed for graduates who want to qualify as Chartered Accountants (CA(SA)).

The programme provides aspiring finance professionals with structured workplace training, mentorship and practical experience across one of South Africa’s leading fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies.

About The Tiger Brands TOPP Programme

The Tiger Brands TOPP Programme offers graduates the opportunity to complete their 36-month SAICA training contract while gaining exposure to various finance disciplines within the business.

Successful candidates will rotate through different business units and develop practical skills in areas including:

  • Internal Audit.
  • Governance and Assurance.
  • Financial Accounting.
  • Data Analytics.
  • Management Reporting.
  • Other finance-related disciplines.

Tiger Brands operates across several sectors, including culinary products, snacks, treats and beverages, home and personal care, grains, logistics and shared services.

Although the company’s head office is based in Bryanston, Gauteng, trainees will rotate across various Tiger Brands sites in Gauteng and may also travel to operations in other provinces as part of their development.

High-performing trainees may also gain exposure to specialist areas such as:

  • Corporate Finance.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).
  • Treasury.
  • Legal and Secretarial.

Tiger Brands TOPP Programme Requirements

To qualify for the programme, applicants must:

  • Hold a SAICA-accredited Postgraduate Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA) or Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA).
  • Be planning to write the SAICA Initial Test of Competence (ITC) examination in January.
  • Be committed to completing the full 36-month SAICA training contract.
  • Have a strong interest in the FMCG and manufacturing sectors.
  • Be willing to rotate across different Tiger Brands sites.

Applicants must also meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Achieve an academic average of 65% or higher.
  • Be a citizen of the country of employment.
  • Have strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrate ambition, self-motivation and innovation.
  • Be a recent graduate from a South African tertiary institution.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Have access to a personal vehicle (preferred).
