About The Millwright Apprenticeship
The Komatsu Millwright Apprenticeship Programme is designed for motivated individuals who are eager to learn, develop technical skills, and build a long-term career in the engineering and mining sectors.
Through a structured training programme, apprentices will complete both practical workplace training and formal theoretical learning required to achieve artisan status as a Millwright.
Apprenticeship Responsibilities
Successful apprentices will be expected to:
- Familiarise themselves with the apprenticeship training programme and its requirements.
- Complete all required practical and theoretical training modules.
- Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety at all times.
- Follow company procedures and engineering standards.
- Develop technical competencies required for the Millwright trade.
- Participate actively in all training and workplace learning activities.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the Komatsu Millwright Apprenticeship, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
N3 Qualification
- N3 certificate with four subjects, including the relevant trade theory subjects.
- Minimum D symbol or Level 4 pass in Mathematics and Physical Science.
NC(V) Level 4 Qualification
- NC(V) Level 4 qualification.
- Minimum D symbol or Level 4 pass in Mathematics and another subject related to Engineering and Related Design or Electrical Infrastructure Construction.
Higher Qualification
- S1 qualification or higher with a minimum D symbol or Level 4 pass in Mathematics and Physical Science.
