The purpose of this role is to develop a strong technical foundation in finance within a complex and fast-paced African environment. It is designed for an analytical, detail-oriented individual who is disciplined, curious, and eager to grow professionally in the financial services sector.

Requirements
  • Must have completed Grade 12 / Matric
  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 30
  • Not be registered on any other Graduate Programme or learnership
  • Must currently be unemployed
  • Must have no criminal record
  • Not be studying at any other institution
Duties & Responsibilities Financial Reporting and Statements
  • Assist in preparation of annual financial statements
  • Support preparation of Exco and CAF reporting packs (graphs, tables, analysis)
  • Assist in preparation of tax and controller reporting packs
  • Support year-end audit processes and audit requests

Reconciliations and Controls

  • Prepare and maintain reconciliations (Bank, VAT, Balance Sheet)
  • Intercompany maintenance, preparation and reconciliation
  • Support month-end close process including journals and GL Maintenance

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Assist with preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Support variance analysis and reporting

Operational and Transactional Support

  • Process monthly journals
  • Support ad hoc invoicing and foreign payment processing
  • Assist with administrative coordination and stakeholder follow-ups
  • Support year-end audit processes and audit requests
