Sun International Learnership Programme Applications Open at The Maslow Hotel Sandton
Sun International, through The Maslow Hotel Sandton, has opened applications for a 12-month Learnership Programme aimed at unemployed youth who have completed Grade 12.
The learnership forms part of Sun International’s commitment to skills development and youth empowerment within the hospitality industry. A total of 10 learners will be accommodated in this programme, and candidates living with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
About the Learnership Programme
This outcome-based learnership provides participants with the opportunity to gain both practical workplace experience and a recognised qualification. Learners will complete structured theoretical training alongside hands-on hospitality training at The Maslow Hotel Sandton.
The programme is designed to help address skills shortages in the hospitality sector while improving participants’ employability.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the Sun International learnership, applicants must submit the following:
A certified copy of their South African ID
A certified copy of their Matric certificate or equivalent NQF Level qualification
A detailed CV and motivational letter
A hospitality-related certificate will be an added advantage
Required Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A passion for customer service excellence
Proactive approach with good problem-solving abilities
Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
Willingness and ability to work shifts when required
Learnership Duration and Structure
The learnership will run for a period of 12 months and requires committed individuals who are able to complete both the theoretical and workplace-based learning components.
Upon successful completion of the programme, learners will be awarded a formal qualification aligned with the learnership.
Learnership Agreement
The programme is governed by a legally binding learnership agreement between the employer, the learner and the appointed service provider. Successful candidates will be required to sign this agreement for the full duration of the learnership.
