There are two exciting internship programmes available with the National Department of Health where you can work in either the Admin department or the Supply Chain Management department.
The National Department of Health is offering two valuable internship opportunities for recent graduates looking to gain practical experience in public administration.
These 12-month internships come with a monthly stipend of R7 860.39 and is available at the Department’s Pretoria offices across several key branches.
1) Available Internship Posts ADMIN: REFERENCE NO: NDOH 61/2025
- Office of the Minister – Pretoria (3 posts)
- Branch: Primary Health Care – Pretoria (2 posts)
- Chief Directorate: District Health Services – Pretoria (2 posts)
Minimum Requirements:
To qualify for this internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
- Hold a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in one of the following fields:
Public Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Business Management, Management Assistant, Office Management, or Office Administration - Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate good organisational and planning skills
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Key Responsibilities:
Interns will be expected to support the department with various administrative tasks, including:
- Providing general office support services
- Assisting with supply chain and procurement processes
- Supporting personnel administration activities
- Helping with financial administration and recordkeeping
2) Available Internship Posts: Supply Chain Management REFERENCE NO NDOH 62/2025
Chief Directorate: Supply Chain and Assets Management
STIPEND : R7 860, 39 per month
CENTRE : Pretoria
REQUIREMENTS: A Grade 12 (NQF 4) certificate and National Diploma (NQF 6) in Supply Chain Management/Logistics/Public Management/Purchasing/ Transport Management. Good communication (written and verbal), planning, organizational computer skills (MS Office package).
DUTIES : Assist in supply chain management services within the component. Assist with
asset management support. Assist with demand and acquisition support and
assist with logistical support services
