The Construction Education and Training Authority (Ceta) is focused on leading training and education in this sector of the economy. Ceta has now introduced a bursary that is available to lecturers who are working at TVET or CET colleges and teaching construction-related courses.
The bursaries aim to enhance the qualifications and skills of lecturers, enabling them to meet both minimum and advanced requirements in disciplines that fall under the Ceta’s scope.
Eligibility and Purpose
The bursaries are intended to support the academic advancement of lecturers through studies beginning in the 2026 academic year. Eligible fields include:
Advanced Diploma or Honours Degree in Education with specialisation in Construction, Engineering or Built Environment stuides at NQF Level 7 and above.
Stem-related qualifications or advanced stuides supporting Construction or Built Environment field at Honours, Masters or PHD levels.
Disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management and related qualifications will be prioritised in consideration of the award.
