The Agriseta is the organisation responsible for promoting education and training in the agriculture sector. This includes researching the training requirements of the sector and then developing qualifications and courses for the sector.
Overview
AgriSETA is offering a 24-month internship opportunity for a Learning Programmes Administrator within its Learning Programmes and Projects Division. This opportunity is designed for graduates with no previous work experience who are passionate about education, administration, and working in South Africa’s skills development sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Learning Programme Administration:
- Capture and verify Discretionary Grant applications.
- Ensure all required documents are submitted and complete.
- Participate in application evaluations and provide input.
- Upload approved projects and maintain digital records.
- Track and file signed contracts and learner documents.
- Register learners before training starts and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
2. Payment Processing:
- Receive, check, and capture invoices related to learning programmes.
- Ensure payments align with contract deliverables.
- Submit documents to Finance for payment and verify payment status.
- Maintain a register of received and submitted documents.
3. Stakeholder Liaison:
- Provide professional service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Guide learners, employers, and training providers on programme requirements.
- Respond to queries related to applications, documents, and payments.
4. Audit Support:
- Prepare accurate and validated information for auditors.
- Keep records of submitted documentation.
- Help ensure audit compliance and avoid repeat findings.

5. Reporting & General Admin:
- Produce weekly and monthly reports on project budgets and learner progress.
- Compile statistics and assist with any ad hoc administrative tasks as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
- N6 Certificate in Management Assistance, Public Management, or a related field
- No prior work experience required (this is a graduate internship)
Key Skills and Competencies
- Strong attention to detail
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under supervision and in a team
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel)
