Volkswagen South Africa Opens Applications For Technical Apprenticeship Learnerships
Volkswagen South Africa is inviting applications from motivated and technically inclined individuals to join its latest Technical Apprenticeship Learnership Programme. This exciting opportunity offers learners the chance to gain hands-on experience and formal training in various technical trades, helping them build a strong foundation for a successful career in the automotive and manufacturing industry.

About The Programme:
The Technical Apprentice Programme gives learners the opportunity to access full-time, trade-related training through the Technical Learning Academy (TLA). This initiative forms part of Volkswagen’s commitment to upskilling communities and supporting technical skills development across South Africa. The programme is also supported by the Union.
Minimum Entry Requirements:
• Matric with a pass in Core Mathematics and Physical Science (Maths Literacy will not be accepted)
• N3 Certificate (with 4 subjects including Core Mathematics and Physical Science) or higher
Candidate Selection Process:
• Applicants will be interviewed and recommended by a selection panel
• Candidates must indicate a first and second choice field of training
• Learners must be willing to complete studies on a part-time basis
• Overtime work will not be required during the programme unless authorised
Required Application Documents:
• Certified copy of your South African ID (not older than 3 months)
• Certified copy of your highest school or college qualification (not older than 3 months)
• A detailed motivation letter explaining why you wish to join the programme, including your preferred field of study or training (e.g. Electrical, Fitting, etc.)
• Your current and alternative cellphone numbers
• Current job title and SAP number (for internal permanent VW employees)
Important Information:
• Employees who have previously completed a TLA Apprenticeship or Learnership will not be considered
• Successful internal candidates will return to a vacant position at their current level in Production after completing the programme
• Only online applications submitted via the HelloSuccess virtual platform will be accepted
