This internship is ideal for graduates eager to gain hands-on experience in logistics, supply chain operations, and systems administration.
This 12-month opportunity is structured to provide practical training in operational support, stakeholder engagement, and workflow management—laying a solid foundation for a career in the fast-paced logistics and pharmaceutical distribution industry.
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, applicants must have:
A Grade 12 / Matric certificate
A Diploma or Degree in Transport Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Support:
Monitor supply chain systems to ensure smooth performance
Assist in identifying system issues and testing new enhancements
Maintain and update master data within supply chain systems
Provide regular updates and feedback to the Junior Operations Support team
2. Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the first point of contact for operational queries
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and operational staff
Escalate unresolved issues to the relevant departments
Deliver clear and efficient communication to internal teams
3. General Systems Administration:
Perform daily system health checks and support system integration
Log IT support requests (HEAT calls) and follow up per company SOPs
Help compile reports and analyze data to identify operational improvements
4. General Compliance:
Adhere to Dis-Chem’s internal policies and standard operating procedures
Follow all Health and Safety regulations and site protocols
