About the Internship

As a Catalogue Processing Intern, you’ll be immersed in the operations that drive South Africa’s largest online retail and delivery platforms. This internship offers exposure to both technical and soft skills, with real-time learning in a high-paced digital environment. Interns will rotate between takealot.com and Mr D, gaining insights into catalogue management, online merchandising, and e-commerce logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  •     Assist in the processing and management of product catalogues
  •     Collaborate with various departments to ensure catalogue accuracy and performance
  •     Gain a deep understanding of product listings, data integrity, and customer-facing content
  •     Receive structured training and mentorship throughout the programme

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must have a:

Diploma in Business Management, Communications, or an equivalent qualification

Skills and Attributes Required:

Technical Skills:

  •     Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level)
  •     Strong command of written and spoken English
  •     Basic computer literacy

Soft Skills & Personal Traits:

  •     Excellent communication skills
  •     High attention to detail
  •     Strong problem-solving ability
  •     Creative and collaborative mindset
  •     Willingness to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-moving environment
