DHL is inviting unemployed young South Africans to apply for its YES 4 Youth Learnership Programme. This opportunity is based at the P&G Jozi Park site and offers six available positions.
The programme is designed to provide workplace exposure and practical experience to young people who want to build a career in logistics and supply chain operations. Successful applicants will gain hands-on training while working within a professional logistics environment.
About The DHL YES 4 Youth Learnership
This learnership is aimed at individuals who are eager to learn, develop new skills and gain valuable workplace experience. Participants will support operational activities such as loading and offloading deliveries, while also learning about logistics procedures and workplace safety.
Learners will work under the supervision of team leaders and managers, ensuring that all allocated delivery and warehouse tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Participants in the DHL YES 4 Youth Learnership Programme will be responsible for a range of operational duties, including:
Learning and understanding client requirements to ensure service standards are met.
Building knowledge and experience in the correct use of equipment while reporting any faults or defects.
Reporting and recording any non-conformities related to customer merchandise.
Working within operational areas assigned by management based on business needs.
Following established operating procedures and maintaining safe working practices.
Maintaining good housekeeping standards within the workplace.
Complying with all health and safety regulations.
Contributing to a productive and efficient working environment.
Participating in stock counts and inventory processes.
Completing allocated tasks within required deadlines.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the DHL YES 4 Youth Learnership Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Grade 12 or Matric.
Be a South African citizen.
Be an unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 29.
Be an Employment Equity candidate.
Be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
A valid Code 08 driver’s licence will be advantageous.
A valid forklift or reach truck licence will also be beneficial but is not required.
