Synopsis

A JSE listed entity that offers wide range of diverse Talent Management Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Specialist: HR Consultant to be based in Woodmead.

 

Job Description

Provide advice and support in the implementation of HR business partner activities, as well as communication and consultative engagement with business to ensure that HR solutions are executed in a sustainable and scalable manner.  

 

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource or relevant qualification
  • At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in Human Resource or Advisor

 

Roles and Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Accountable for the improvement of quality, service and desired work outputs, advising on procedural and process improvements; enabling adherence to a set framework of policies and procedures.
  • Proactively identify process related operational problems, determine cause and effect and recommend improvements to solve issues based on previous experience and an understanding of the context of the problem
  • Plan for the organisation of work outputs and process improvement activities in light of a specific situational context related to an area of specialisation.
  • Gather relevant information related to specialisation activities; collate and integrate into written reports for assessment or appraisal and present as an input to managerial reporting or decision-making
  • Identify development opportunities in order to close skills gaps, retain talent and to build a talent pipeline.
  • Implement learning and development projects and programmes in compliance with policy requirements, processes and procedures.
  • Communicate with business to assist with solution resolution and advise relevant stakeholders on escalated queries regarding HR activities.
  • Ensure that remuneration modelling and salary administration is performed in alignment with set guidelines, procedures and principles.
  • Contribute to the effective management and monitoring of the succession pipeline.
  • Extract, consolidate and analyse data to produce reports that will enable optimal interrogation and provide reliable management information.
  • Maintain current knowledge of related government rules and regulations, including all applicable labour and/ or payroll information about tax laws and regulations to ensure adherence to compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Identify, diagnose and recommend improvements and provide specialist advice and support to ensure that solutions are appropriate and effective.
  • Provide support to ensure the effective execution of HR related mechanisms such as compensation, talent, performance, development, employment and related programs.
  • Provide sound consulting services and recommendations based on customer and client needs, current information and trends analyses.
  • Facilitate the implementation of all COE interventions and practices within the business.
  • Provide advice and support into day-to-day ER related activities, such as counselling, warnings etc.

COMPLIANCE AND GOVERNANCE:

  • Comply with risk and governance policies and implement and provide subject matter feedback to enhance the development of processes applicable to an area of specialisation

CUSTOMER:

  • Contribute to a culture of stakeholder service excellence in support of an engagement strategy, which builds positive relationships and provides an opportunity for feedback and exceptional service delivery.

FINANCE:

  • Adhere to financial controls, governance and compliance policies and processes throughout an area of specialisation, contributing to cost efficiency.

PEOPLE:

  • Participate in best practice forums and contribute positively to own and operational knowledge improvement related to human resources utilisation associated with an area of specialisation
  • Contribute to the successful implementation of change initiatives by making recommendations for guidelines and requirements in support of the change specific to an area of specialisation
  • Motivate, coach and develop direct reports, ensuring continuous development of human resources, creating an operational and process driven learning enabled environment
