Job Description
Shoe City is seeking a talented Store Planner Graduate to join the Merchandise Planning team. This opportunity is ideal for a graduate who wants to gain exposure in planning and logistics, ensuring that the right products are delivered to the right stores, at the right time and in the right quantities. You’ll support inventory and store performance efforts while learning how to optimise product availability and sales across the business.
Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Statistics, or Cost Management is an advantage
- 0–1 year of work experience
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Some knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes
- Basic understanding of retail functions: Buying, Planning, Logistics, DCs, and Store Operations
- Interest in replenishment and seasonal stock cycles
- Good numeracy and analytical thinking
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Able to manage time and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Google Suite is an advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Support the allocation of seasonal and non-seasonal stock to stores
- Assist with store clustering and location planning
- Review performance data and assist with reporting
- Help plan and stock new store openings
- Respond to store stock queries and participate in store visits
- Assist in setting up replenishment plans
Opportunity 2: HR Graduate – Pepkor Speciality
Job Description
Pepkor Speciality is looking for a dynamic Human Resources Graduate to work closely with the Training and Development team for a 12-month contract. This role offers administrative and coordination experience across various training initiatives and projects, helping to drive development programs within the business.
Qualifications
- BTech or Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management or Office Administration (minimum NQF 7)
- Must have graduated with the relevant qualification
- Must not currently be a beneficiary of any SETA-related programme
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in MS Office; Google Suite is advantageous
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle tasks with urgency
- Flexible, methodical, and proactive work style
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for all Training & Development activities
- Assist with the coordination and tracking of Learnerships
- Support ad hoc training-related projects
- Prepare and submit monthly reports
