This apprenticeship programme provides hands-on training over a period of up to three years, giving you the practical skills and technical knowledge needed to succeed in the automotive industry.
About the Apprenticeship
Reporting to the Service Manager, successful candidates will work under the guidance of qualified technicians and gain real-world experience in vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with vehicle repairs under supervision
- Remove and replace vehicle parts and components
- Lift vehicles and perform basic mechanical tasks
- Lubricate and change oils according to specifications
- Remove and fit wheels, batteries, air filters, and oil filters
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace
- Keep tools and equipment in good condition
- Attend required technical training courses
- Follow all safety procedures and workshop standards
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with Pure Mathematics and Physical Science
- Technical Matric qualification will be advantageous
- Valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
- Clear criminal record
- Basic technical skills will be beneficial
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
