Job Title: Lease Administrator
Primary Purpose:
The Lease Administrator is responsible for managing and coordinating the leasing process to ensure that lease agreements are efficiently finalized and accurately recorded in the property management system.
Key Performance Areas (KPA’s):
- Track, manage, and maintain the flow of original lease documentation while ensuring awareness of the status of all leases in the assigned area, driving the process to completion.
- Ensure that all necessary steps, such as creditworthiness checks and obtaining FICA documents, are followed promptly during the leasing and renewal processes.
- Administer all lease procedures to ensure compliance and adherence to established protocols.
- Provide comprehensive operational and management reports, including detailed insights into vacancies and leasing activities in the assigned area.
- Assist in accurately capturing lease agreements in the property management system to optimize database utility and recover maximum costs from tenants.
- Support the negotiation and finalization of lease agreements.
- Provide general administrative support and document management to the leasing and administrative department.
- Assist with market research on node-specific property information.
Job Specific Requirements:
Job Knowledge:
- Familiarity with the MDA property management system (advantageous).
- Understanding of credit bureau checks (advantageous).
- Knowledge of customer relations management (advantageous).
- Strong understanding of administration processes (essential).
- Familiarity with document tracking (advantageous).
- Knowledge of financial accounting (advantageous).
- Knowledge of common and mercantile law (advantageous).

- 2 years’ experience in the property sector (advantageous).

- Experience as a lease or property administrator (advantageous).
- Experience in leasing negotiations (advantageous).
Education:
- Grade 12 (essential).
- Certificate in Lease Administration or a related field (advantageous).
- Certificate in administration or a related field (advantageous).
