The Competition Commission is inviting ambitious graduates to apply for its 2026 Cadet Training Programme. This two-year Graduate Development Programme offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in competition economics and law while contributing to South Africa’s economic transformation.
This programme is designed to support the Commission’s Vision 2030 of building a competitive, dynamic, inclusive, and deconcentrated economy that benefits all South Africans. Programme Details
- Duration: 24 months (fixed-term contract)
- Annual stipend: R271 979,43 (Total Cost to Company)

Minimum Requirements
- South African citizen
- No prior work experience in the same field
- Completed Honours degree in Human Resource Management, Human Capital Management, Human Capital / Organisational Development (strong academic record required)
- An average of 70% or above will be an advantage
- Evidence of leadership, community engagement, or initiatives beyond academics
- Strong analytical, research, writing, and communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Ability to work well in a team environment
