SANParks Internship Programme Applications Open
South African National Parks (SANParks) has opened applications for its Internship Programme, offering unemployed graduates the opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience in the conservation sector.
SANParks is the leading conservation authority responsible for managing more than 3.7 million hectares of protected land across 20 national parks in South Africa. Its mandate is derived from the National Environmental Management: Protected Areas Act (Act 57 of 2003).
About the SANParks Internship Programme
The internship programme is open to graduates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma (NQF Level 6 or 7) at a South African public higher education institution. Successful candidates will be placed at SANParks for a period of 12 months and will receive a monthly stipend.
Please note that SANParks is under no obligation to offer permanent employment once the internship has been completed.

Internship Requirements
To qualify for the SANParks Internship Placement Programme, applicants must:
Be unemployed graduates between the ages of 18 and 35
Be South African citizens
Have completed a Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma (NQF 6 or NQF 7) from a South African public higher education institution
Not have previously been employed or participated in any internship or placement programme
Reside within the Eastern Cape Province
Important Application Information
Applicants must attach a detailed CV and certified copies of their Matric certificate, academic qualifications with transcripts, and identity document
Applicants applying for placements outside their area of residence must arrange their own accommodation and transport, as the internship is stipend-based
Incomplete applications will not be considered
Shortlisted candidates must be available for assessments and interviews at dates and venues determined by SANParks
Applicants with foreign qualifications must ensure these are evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA)
All internship appointments are subject to verification and pre-screening processes
SANParks reserves the right not to make an appointment

Internship Stipend
Successful interns will receive a monthly stipend of R6 355.69.
