Duration: 12 Months
Sasria is inviting applications for its Claims Learnership Programme. This 12-month learnership offers unemployed youth the opportunity to gain practical experience in short-term insurance claims administration and processing.
The programme is designed to equip learners with the skills to assess, process and manage insurance claims within a regulated framework, while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining cost control.
Minimum Requirements
Qualification:
• Matric (Grade 12)
Experience:
• No prior work experience required
Preference will be given to persons with disabilities.
What the Sasria Claims Learnership Covers
Learners will gain hands-on experience in the following areas:
1. Claims Administration and Processing
• Registering and capturing new claims
• Examining and validating claims documentation
• Assessing liability and ensuring claims align with Sasria policy cover
• Processing and authorising payments within delegated authority
• Updating reserves and maintaining accurate claim records on internal systems
• Escalating complex claims to supervisors where necessary
• Ensuring compliance with short-term insurance regulations
• Handling customer queries professionally and efficiently
2. Broker and Agency Liaison
• Negotiating claim settlements
• Liaising with brokers and agents on claim progress
• Providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders
3. Additional Responsibilities
• Performing reasonable ad hoc tasks as required by the Line Manager
