Sun International Gaming Operations Learnership 2026 – Carnival City
Sun International, through Afrisun Gauteng trading as Carnival City, is offering an exciting Gaming Operations Learnership Programme for unemployed youth. This opportunity forms part of Carnival City’s commitment to South Africa’s national skills development agenda.
The programme leads to a National Certificate in Gaming Operations (NQF Level 4) and is designed to improve participants’ chances of securing employment in the gaming industry.
About the Gaming Operations Learnership
This accredited learnership provides learners with both theoretical training and practical workplace experience within the gaming environment.
Programme Duration: 12 months
Qualification: National Certificate in Gaming Operations (NQF Level 4)
Stipend: Monthly stipend provided
Location: Carnival City, Gauteng
Successful candidates will undergo a series of assessments before being appointed to the programme. Once selected, learners will receive structured workplace coaching and hands-on exposure in the gaming industry.
Upon completion, learners will have gained valuable industry experience, significantly enhancing their employment prospects.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Sun International Gaming Operations Learnership, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Mathematics and English as subjects
- Be between the ages of 18 and 35
- Be a South African citizen
- Reside in the City of Ekurhuleni
- Have no criminal record
- Must not have previously participated in a learnership programme
Work Conditions
- Must be willing to work shifts
- Must be willing to work in a smoking area
Employment Equity
Preference will be given to suitably qualified candidates from designated groups, in line with the Employment Equity Act (No. 55 of 1998), internal recruitment policies, employment equity plans and Gaming Board Licence conditions.
