Triton Academy, a TETA-accredited training provider, is inviting applications for its 12-month National Certificate in Freight Handling Learnership. This programme is designed to empower unemployed South African youth with both theoretical training and practical workplace experience in the logistics and freight industry.
Triton Academy specialises in Freight Handling and Professional Driving training. The academy’s goal is to equip learners with job-specific skills and industry knowledge, helping them build sustainable careers in the transport and logistics sector.
What the Learnership Offers
- Hands-on training in loading and off-loading goods from vehicles
- Preparing vehicles for trips and ensuring safety compliance
- Managing freight documentation (receiving, dispatching, and handling)
- Warehouse duties, including picking, packing, and stock verification
- Stacking and securing goods for safe transport
- Delivery and collection of goods and general housekeeping
- Theoretical learning aligned with unit standards
- Workplace mentorship and assessment preparation
Minimum Requirements
- South African citizen
- Grade 12 / TVET N3 / NQF Level 2 qualification (minimum 40% in Maths and English)
- Age: 23 – 35 years
- Medically fit
- Fluent in English (reading and writing)
- Numerically orientated
- Prepared to work weekends and shifts
- Clear criminal record
- Reside in one of these areas: Germiston, Alberton, Boksburg, Johannesburg
- Working hours: 08:00 – 18:00
