Eskom is offering an exciting opportunity for unemployed youth to apply for the Plant Operator Learnership Programme at Matimba Power Station in Limpopo. A total of 15 learner positions are available for candidates who are eager to build a career in the energy sector.

About the Learnership
Successful applicants will undergo institutional training combined with on-the-job experience to prepare them for a career as Plant Operators. This programme is designed to provide valuable technical skills, workplace knowledge, and practical exposure within Eskom’s operations.
Skills and Competencies Required:
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to work in a team
- Integrity, professionalism, and customer focus
- Good knowledge of Eskom’s policies and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Negotiation and liaising skills
- Attributes such as politeness, promptness, energy, assertiveness, and being a self-starter
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 with Maths (minimum 50%), Physical Science (50%) and English (40%), or
- N3 with Maths (50%), Science (50%) and English (40%), or
- NCV Level 4 with Maths (50%), Science (50%) and English (40%), or
- National N4/N5 Certificate with trade-related subjects, or
- National N6 Certificate with trade-related subjects, or
- National Diploma/BTech/BEng/BSc Eng in a relevant field
