Glencore Engineering Learnerships Now Open In Brits
Glencore is inviting applications for its Engineering Learnership Programme at the Rhovan operation in Brits, North West. This opportunity is aimed at individuals who have completed their N2 qualification and want to gain practical skills and technical training in the engineering field.
The programme combines theoretical learning with hands-on workplace experience and is designed to prepare participants for a career as a qualified artisan.
Successful learners will work towards obtaining a recognised trade certificate upon completion of the programme.

About The Glencore Engineering Learnership Programme
The Engineering Learnership Programme is structured to provide both theoretical training and practical workplace exposure. During the programme, learners will develop technical skills and gain experience in a real industrial environment.
After successfully completing all training requirements, learners will qualify as artisans with a recognised trade certificate.
Key Responsibilities During The Learnership
Learners selected for the programme will be required to:
- Enter into a formal learnership agreement with the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA)
- Complete theoretical and practical trade modules at the training centre
- Complete all phases of the learnership programme within the required timeframe
- Participate in on-the-job training modules
- Attend basic and advanced engineering skills training courses
- Participate in workplace readiness training and technical panel evaluations
- Assist with basic artisan tasks during practical training
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the Glencore Engineering Learnership Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- A completed N2 qualification with relevant trade theory subjects
- Be medically fit to work in an industrial environment
