About the Coca-Cola Learnership Programme
The Visual Merchandiser Learnership provides hands-on, work-based learning that develops participants’ commercial understanding and customer service skills. Learners will gain experience in servicing customers, supporting order-taking processes and implementing merchandising standards across various retail outlets.
The role reports to the Account Developer and requires regular interaction with sales teams and customers to ensure strong in-store execution and brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities
In-Store Execution and Merchandising
- Execute daily call schedules across assigned outlets in line with planned objectives.
- Implement visual merchandising standards, including stock rotation and in-store displays according to brand guidelines.
- Ensure product quality, availability and visibility in line with RED and execution scorecard standards, including completion of the iRED survey.
- Support customers with placing orders through the MyCCBA digital platform.
- Assist with promotional activities to enhance brand awareness and drive sales.
- Provide relief support when required by the line manager.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics or Maths Literacy (minimum 40%).
- Grade 12 with English and a second language (minimum 40%).
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
- Must be unemployed at the time of appointment.
- Must not be registered for any current learnership or full-time studies.
- Must not have previously completed the same qualification or learnership.
- Must be available to work six days a week.
- No criminal record or adverse credit record.
- Must consent to criminal, ID and qualification verification.
- Driver’s licence is advantageous.
- Employment Equity candidates will be given preference.
- A post-matric qualification in Sales and Marketing will be beneficial.
Learnership Qualification Details
Learners must obtain a minimum of 120 credits to successfully complete the qualification. The programme runs over a period of 12 months and combines theoretical learning with practical workplace exposure.
