Clover is offering an exciting YES Learnership opportunity for unemployed South African youth who are eager to gain valuable work experience in the sales environment. The YES Learner (Merchandiser) programme provides successful candidates with 12 months of practical workplace experience within Clover’s Sales Execution department.
A total of 112 learnership positions are available across multiple locations nationwide, including Clover branches in Clayville, Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth and Queensburgh.
This learnership forms part of Clover’s partnership with the Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme, aimed at empowering young people with skills and experience to improve their future employability.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the Clover YES Learnership, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 4)
Fluent in Business English
Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays

Duties and Responsibilities
As a YES Learner (Merchandiser), your responsibilities will include:
Stock Control and Ordering
Applying correct stock control measures in-store and in back-up areas
Managing returns according to store work plans
Preventing out-of-stock situations and reporting issues to the Area Manager
Placing accurate and timely stock orders
Ensuring shelves are always clean, neat and well-stocked
Managing crates and equipment in line with company policies
Building and maintaining positive working relationships with store management and colleagues
Shelf and Merchandising Management
Packing shelves according to store flow and merchandising guidelines
Ensuring fridges are properly maintained
Maintaining shelf layouts based on provided planograms
Ensuring product information labels are displayed correctly
Placing and maintaining point-of-sale material
Completing all required administrative tasks
Identifying opportunities to enhance product visibility in-store
Relationship Management
Maintaining professional relationships with store management, customers, Area Managers, Head Office staff and fellow merchandisers at all times.
