The City of Tshwane has opened applications for its Student Database Programme for 2025, inviting unemployed graduates and students who need work experience to apply for upcoming internship and training opportunities. The initiative is part of the City’s commitment to promoting skills development, social inclusion and addressing the shortage of people with disabilities in the workplace.

About The Programme
The City of Tshwane aims to build a database of qualified students who can be appointed on fixed-term training contracts for work-integrated learning, experiential learning or internship programmes across various fields of study. The database will help the City match candidates to future training placements within its departments.
Who Should Apply
This opportunity is open to unemployed youth who have completed a tertiary qualification and require workplace exposure. The City encourages applications from people with disabilities and will provide reasonable accommodation in line with institutional guidelines and job requirements.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must have completed a tertiary qualification from a recognised institution.
- Must be a permanent resident of the City of Tshwane municipal area.
- May include:
- Final-year university students who have completed all academic modules except the work-integrated learning component.
- N6 Certificate holders.
- Three-year Diploma or National Diploma graduates.
- Bachelor’s Degree graduates.
- Must require 12, 18 or 24 months of practical experience as prescribed by your academic institution to meet graduation requirements.
- Qualified graduates with no prior work experience are also encouraged to apply.

- Certified copy of ID document
- Academic record and qualifications (if completed)
- Proof of residence within Tshwane

- University students: 12 months
