Bestmed Medical Scheme is inviting applications for its 2026 Internship Programme. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who are eager to gain practical work experience within one of South Africa’s leading medical schemes.
Bestmed is a non-profit, self-administered medical scheme registered with the Council for Medical Schemes. With more than 60 years of experience in providing quality healthcare cover, Bestmed is the largest self-administered and the fourth-largest open medical scheme in South Africa.

Available Internship Opportunities
Direct Sales Admin Intern (x2)
Provide administrative support to the sales team, process member applications, verify documents, and maintain accurate sales records.
Requirements: Grade 12 with Maths or Maths Literacy, Degree in Business Administration or Marketing, unemployed graduates.
Disease Management Admin Intern
Assist with administrative work, document linking, and closing of profiles for programmes such as Oncology.
Requirements: Grade 12, Degree in Business Administration, unemployed graduates.
Finance Intern
Gain experience in accounts receivable and payable within the Finance Department.
Requirements: Grade 12 with Accounting, Degree in Finance or Accounting, unemployed graduates.
HBM Admin Intern (x3)
Support hospital benefit administration processes and customer service functions.
Requirements: Grade 12, Diploma in Business Administration, unemployed graduates.
Marketing and Sales Analytics Intern
Assist with analysing membership data, market trends, and sales performance to support marketing and growth strategies.
Requirements: Grade 12 with Maths or Maths Literacy, Degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, or Statistics, unemployed graduates.
Marketing Coordinator Intern
Support marketing campaigns, events, and research activities to strengthen brand visibility and engagement.
Requirements: Grade 12 with Maths or Maths Literacy, Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Events, unemployed graduates.
Non-Disclosure Admin Intern (x2)
Assist with administrative duties related to hospital benefits and operational workflows.
Requirements: Grade 12, Diploma in Business Administration, unemployed graduates.
PMB Admin Intern
Assist with correspondence, administrative support, and data capturing for psychotherapy and related cases.
Requirements: Grade 12, Degree in Business Administration, unemployed graduates.
Procurement, Facilities and OHS Intern
Support office maintenance, health and safety coordination, and procurement processes.
Requirements: Grade 12 with Mathematics, Degree in Procurement or related field, unemployed graduates.
Talent Intern
Provide administrative support to the Human Resources team, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
Requirements: Grade 12, Degree in Human Resources, unemployed graduates.
Tempo Running Club Intern
Assist in promoting wellness initiatives through the running club, coordinating events, and encouraging participation.
Requirements: Grade 12 with Maths or Maths Literacy, Diploma in Sports Science, Physiotherapy, or related field, unemployed graduates.
