An internship programme is an intervention by the City of Johannesburg to address the growing demand by a tertiary institution for students to undergo on-the-job exposure, as a pre-requisite to acquire an academic qualification or as a requirement after the acquisition of academic qualification to obtain experiential training.

The City of Johannesburg is recruiting for their Graphic Design internships now.
The internship in the Group Communication & Marketing department is available now, based in Braamfontein.
Remuneration:
(Qualification completed with min 360 credits) : R9 960,45 pm (Basic Salary, no benefits)
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12/Matric plus a National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Graphic Design or Computer Graphics or a related field (like Visual Arts) OR Degree (NQF level 7) in Graphic Design subject or Computer Graphics or related field ( Like Visual Arts);
- The candidate will be expected to have knowledge and an understanding of graphic design and/or visual design and its compatible software by using design tools including design software (Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Premier Pro, Toon Boom ect.) to create complex concepts by designing and presenting rough drafts of art (i.e., size, colour, typography, images, style, layout and related aesthetic concepts).
